Despite being far from their homeland, Hari Raya Aidilfitri is still celebrated in a festive manner by Brunei citizens residing in Cairo, Egypt.

Various traditional delicacies such as ketupat, rendang, and ambuyat are prepared to ease the longing for their hometown. In addition, a strong sense of family spirit is evident as they exchange forgiveness and strengthen ties within the community. Despite being thousands of kilometres away from the homeland, the Hari Raya Aidilfitri spirit among locals in Cairo remains strong -proving that the joy of the celebration lies not in the location, but in togetherness and unity.

More interestingly, the atmosphere is further enlivened by the soothing melodies of traditional musical instruments, played casually by members of the local community - enhancing the festive spirit of the Aidilfitri celebration abroad.
